  • Step 2: Provide manufacturing details
  • Step 3: Provide distribution details

The stepper on top of the form will help you keep track of your progress.

Step 1: Add product details and assign supply chain

Product details consists of generic details about your product with few mandatory identifiers to help the system create a template supply chain for the product.

2. Mandatory identifiers include: Product category and sub category

You can understand more about these fields in the product glossary

3. Next, identify and assign a supply chain to your product. You can do this in two ways:

  1. Assigning an existing supply chain to your product
    • Click on "Assign a supply chain to the product"
    • A pop-up opens up providing a list of existing supply chain you've customized for your products. You can search for your supply chain using the filter or search bar
    • To get a quick glimpse of the supply chain details, click on the "downward arrow" next to the name. Alternatively, click on the "view" button to see all the components and suppliers of that supply chain
    • Once you are ready with your supply chain, click on "Use this" button
    • You will be prompted to confirm the selection with an option to mark the selected chain as default.
Marking supply chain as default would help auto assign the supply chain to future products.
    • After the confirmation, you will be taken to the next step, where you can see your supply chain details

  2. Assigning a system generated template supply chain to your product
    • Click on "save" below the form
Based on the category and sub category of the product, our system will intelligently select a template supply chain and assign it to the product.
    • You will be prompted to confirm the selection
    • After the confirmation, you will see a "Supply chain" section containing a list of primary components of that supply chain
    • You can customize the following details of a component:
    • Once the customization is done, head over to the next step by clicking on the "Manufacturing" button on the top right or bottom right corner

Step 2: Provide manufacturing details

Manufacturing details are the operations or processes required to produce a product. On Green Story platform, manufacturing consists of supply chain from Cradle to Gate i.e raw material production to assembly.

Once you land on the manufacturing tab, you will see summaries for all the components, supplier, process and packaging that make up the end product.

These summaries are automatically created based on the supply chain you selected in the previous step. If you want to link another supply chain, you can do that using the "link now" button on the far right of the supply chain name.

Next, ensure the data for your components, supplier and processes is accurate. You can add new components, link suppliers and add processes.
